In 2019 we received for the second consecutive year the Mineral Sector Company of the Year award by Brasil Mineral Magazine, and we are among the 1000 largest and best companies in the sector by Valor Econômico and Exame Magazine yearbook. Our management is ISO 9001 certified while our environmentally friendly practices are FSC® and CERFLOR® certified

Graduated in Civil Engineering by the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation – FAAP, with technical courses in economics and mining. He worked as a trainee at Mamoré Mineração e Metalurgia S.A., and at Construtora Bratke Collet. He worked at Banco Fator in the areas of treasury, commercial and mergers & acquisitions. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of Brasil Ecodiesel S.A., Vanguarda Agro. S.A., Alpargatas S.A., Paranapanema S.A. Group. He is currently Controller and Chairman of the Board of Buritipar Group, President of Mineração Buritirama S.A., President of the Port Terminal Company Barcarena S.A., Fazendas Nacionais S.A .. He is Operations and Financial Director of Mineração Buritirama S.A., Administrative Director of J.D.O. of Brazil Emp. and Part. Ltda., São Paulo Guanabara Emp. and Part. Arão Portugal | Member

Director of Strategy for Amarillo Gold Corp., since March 2015. He has 35 years of experience in mining and mining in Brazil, South America and Central America. He has served as vice president and chief executive officer of Brazil at Yamana Gold, Inc. since January 2014. He has served as vice president of management for Yamana Gold, Inc. since May 2, 2007 and served as Brazil Country Manager. Graduated in Law from Mackenzie University and specialized in Law and Work Process from the same University. Specialist in Corporate Law from INSPER. He has worked in renowned law firms, at Roche Pharmaceutical Company S.A., at COHAB-SP and at Universidade Bandeirante de São Paulo - UNIBAN. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Mineração Buritirama S.A., Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Paranapanema SA, Legal Director of Mineração Buritirama S.A ..

Antenor Firmino Silva Junior | Member 

Director, President, CEO-Chief Executive Officer, COO-Chief Operating Officer of engineering, fertilizer, mining (gold and phosphate) companies. Graduated in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the State University of São Paulo (USP). Has experience in the mining and chemical industries, consulting for process development, projects, construction, operation and strategic planning. Process development and engineering for ore processing plants. Engineering and construction of iron, fluorite, magnesite, copper, zinc, feldspar, tin, potassium and gold plants. Company director for the production of soda, chlorine and fine chemicals. He specializes in the production of phosphate rock for the fertilizer industry. Mineral process development, project, construction for the four largest projects in Brazil to produce phosphate concentrate for fertilizers, and the only potash mine in operation in the country. Member of the BOARD Board of Directors of fertilizer, engineering, gold and copper companies in Brazil, Canada, Australia and Argentina.

Jorge Luiz de Paula Baptista | Managing and Human Resources Director 

Graduated in Business Administration from Faculdade da Cidade - RJ, with Executive MBA at Dom Cabral Foundation, Advanced Program for HR Executives at Brazilian Business School, Professional Master in Administration from PUC - SP, Executive MBA at Human Resources at FIA - USP , MBA in People Management at Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia - SP and Specialization in Human Resources from FGV - SP. Extensive experience in Corporate Management, Corporate Governance and Human Resources in multinational and national companies, such as: Cisper, Sheraton Hotel, Claro, Embraer, Yamana Gold, São Martinho Group and Mineração Buritirama in Brazil and Latin America. Strategic action oriented to the business, with outstanding performance as a business partner. Extensive experience and leadership in processes of organizational and cultural change, strategic business planning and human resources, corporate redesign, coaching, assessment and advisory to executive development, organizational diagnosis, project management, leadership development, competency management model, systems of performance and performance evaluation, participation in startups processes of large corporations and the HR area.

Michel Moreira Morandini Fontes  |Operational director

Civil Engineer by Minas Gerais Federal University School of Mines, Master in Geotechnics by the same institution, Master of Quality, Latin American Quality Institute. As a technical professional, active in mining applied geotechnics since 2001, he has experience with the development of projects in the areas of dam geotechnics, budgets, planning and administration of works, consulting and environmental auditing. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to the development of mining support and infrastructure projects (piles, dams) and the drafting of a dam safety plan and regular dam safety inspections. As a researcher, he works in the Urban Geotechnical areas, having as a major work the Ouro Preto Geotechnical Chart / MG, defining the risk influence areas of geotechnical events in the urban perimeter of the city of Ouro Preto. Responsible for the development of studies and research with mining tailings, technical responsible for several projects of tailings dams in Brazil and Peru, having as relevant work, detailed engineering projects of B1, B2 Dams of Manabi Complex located in Morro do Pilar. , studies to carry out drained stacking from this same company, tailing disposal studies for Miski Mayo, located in the Sechura Desert, Sechura Province, Piura Department, Peru. Waste Co-Disposal Systems from the nickel beneficiation process, owned by Mirabela Mineração do Brasil, Responsible for the implementation of several Dam safety programs for several mining complexes located throughout the country, specialized services related to the elaboration of the Project. Mineração Buritirama is a public limited company controlled by the Buritipar Group, whose main activity is the production and commercialization of manganese ore. To do so, it develops forestry activities that are destined to the production of coal for the industry. Today the wood of its eucalyptus plantations is also marketed for pulp and paper industrial and energy purposes.

Its activities are based on forest production with socio-environmental responsibility, in order to respect the environmental specificities and the communities and neighbors of the areas of influence of its enterprise.

Mineração Buritirama S.A. recognizes and undertakes to follow the FSC® and CERFLOR® Certification Principles and Criteria in all stages of Forest Management developed at the Forest Management Unit located in the municipalities of Nova Ipixuna and Marabá in the state of Pará.
